In 2005, while both on separate teams and experiencing similar issues, Reeko, Markis Adams and Diamond Mike were brought together and introduced at a studio session through a mutual friend. DIAMOND DISTRICT was born and consisted of Markis Adams as producer/artist, Reeko as an artist and Diamond Mike as the group manager.

Since day one, the energy and chemistry was right and hit songs began to evolve. As the music and sounds began to fall into place, the newly formed group immediately started booking shows and performing at local venues creating an instant buzz. Best known for “getting the party started” with unique original music, Diamond District began to also collaborate with some of Arizona’s hottest artists, producers and promoters.

In 2008, the Diamond District camp began to work closely with former label mate Zig Zag of the NB Ridaz and accompanied Zig Zag on mini tours through out the southwest. Diamond District quickly began assisting Zig Zag in producing, writing, and recording one of his albums entitled “Fastlife”.

Diamond District then branched out independently and began to write and produce songs for themselves as well as other artists. The group quickly began to expand their network and fanbase reaching most of the southwest states.

In early 2009, the Diamond District released their hit song “1st Round Knockout” (ft. Richrap of the Stooie Bros.) that played at the UFC 101 event in Philadelphia. With much achievement, the reserved camp set themselves a new goal of expanding by creating a music group that would consist of the leading hip hop and r&b artists, producers, and songwirters. Working with inhouse producers Markis Adams and Nando, Diamond District began to assist new labelmate Deandra Gamez.
