FIRE NEXT DOOR x EVACUATE THE SCENE
The wildest thing happen this morning at about 2 am in my apartment complex! I was awaken by a neighbor who was screaming and banging on my door, “Get out! Get out the house! Fire! There is fire in the back!” Immediately without hesitation, I ran towards the bedroom to wake up my parents and my siblings. Since the fire was coming from the house right behind our apartment’s bedroom, we began to see flames by our window and heard the cracking sound of wood burning. Instantly, my mother and father grabbed all of my siblings and evacuated the apartment. Meanwhile, I rushed towards our safe and pulled out all of our important documents and money. The moment I walked outside of our apartment, there was smoke and ashes everywhere, which made it somewhat difficult to see and breath properly. The intense flames were the cause of a brighter lit sky and the sound of sirens was the confirmation help was here…
In summation, the firefighters were quick to the scene to pour gallons upon gallons of water at the historic house which had been abandon for years. Investigators said they believed the fire initiated at the back of the property. Although the cause of the fire is not yet fully determined, officials find it skeptical that several similar overnight fires at other vacant homes in the area have been occurring over past two weeks. Moreover, the Phoenix Fire Department was able to successfully water down the flames in a battle which took about two and half hours to overcome. I am grateful nothing major occurred in this event, like someone getting hurt. I do not want to image what could of happen if….
