Bad News…
So I get an email at 5:27 AM, from no one other than the RIAA, as i read through it. It is a cease & desist letter! Stating that we have to pull the plug on the area. If you do not know what the RIAA stands for it is, Recording Industry Association of America.
They basically tell us how to listen to music, what musicians to put out, namely Eminem (all the drama with him saying racial slurs in his music, and other derogatory names).
The list a few albums, but the one that got us caught is Usher’s Raymond V Raymond. Being that it barley came out yesterday, the RIAA wants to sue us for deformation, and for unpaid royalties (not sure how we owe them..)
The letter says we have to shut down, namely because we have exclusive content on the AREA.
It is a very sad day. I will further discuss things with A.D., as to what we can do next. It was a fun run.
They gave us until the end of the week to get everything off the server.
